同事退休

Nicole：Are you going to Kelly’s retirement dinner tomorrow?
妮可：妳明天要去凱莉的退休晚宴嗎？
Jane：I didn’t even realize she was retiring.
阿珍：我甚至都不知道她要退休了。
Nicole：She is. After 25 years with the company, she wants to go spend more time with her grandchildren.
妮可：沒錯。在公司服務了25年后，她想多花些時間陪陪她的孫兒女。
Jane：Well, with all her years as a VP, she must be getting a nice pension.
阿珍：嗯，她當副總裁這么多年，一定能領到優渥的退休金。
Nicole：I’m sure. It should be enough to last her.
妮可：我也這么認為。退休金應該夠支撐她過下半輩子了。
Jane：Well, she worked hard. She deserves it. So, when is this dinner?
阿珍：嗯，她工作很努力。這是她應得的。那么晚餐定在幾點？
Nicole：It’s at 8:00. You should come and see her off.
妮可：八點。妳應該來為她送行。
